Dustin Venekamp had just graduated college when he decided to join American Income Life Insurance Company (AIL). Looking for an opportunity to either run a business or make money to start his own business, Dustin found what he was looking for at American Income Life. “The entrepreneurial spirit of AIL combined with the successful business systems put in place meant I could focus my efforts on growth,” says Dustin.

And grow he did! Dustin found success helping working class families through American Income Life’s products. “AIL’s products make it so that when tragedy strikes, families don’t have to downsize their home, mom or dad can still pay for band and sports activities, and they can still put their children through college,” Dustin says. He’s proud to offer products that keep one tragic event from becoming a series of tragic financial events for a family.

Aside from helping provide financial protection for people in his community, Dustin is passionate about giving others the same career opportunity he was given. Dustin realizes, “Developing leaders and helping people realize their full potential is hands down the most rewarding part of this career.” Dustin’s Agency in Phoenix, AZ, offers entrepreneurial people in their community a chance to be in business for themselves but not by themselves while being compensated and promoted based on their performance.

Understanding there isn’t anything like a good life-work balance, Dustin makes sure he plays as hard as he works. He enjoys basketball, golf, running, and spending time with this family. Dustin and his team also spend time volunteering and donating to the local food bank and labor union, OPEIU Local 277.

To those interested in a career with his Agency, Dustin advises, “Work hard now, so you don’t have to later. Invest time by becoming a master at recruiting and selling and then become a master at teaching others to recruit and sell. Think big and build big.”
