Founded in 1937 in New York City, American Tack Company soon became the country's largest supplier of thumb tacks and decorative furniture nails. Acquisitions expanded the product offering and the company became American Tack & Hardware operating out of the Flatiron Building in New York City. Now known as American Tack & Hardware, the company's headquarters and distribution facilities are located in the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania.
