The Asia Business Council is a non-profit organization founded by a group of prominent businesspeople and described as the first pan-Asian CEO group. It operates from Hong Kong Island, based in Aberdeen, Hong Kong, and maintains a small staff. The council seeks to understand and support Asia’s economic growth and regional competitiveness by facilitating dialogue among Asian and international business leaders, strengthening the private sector’s role in development, and serving as a collective voice to influence corporations, governments, multilateral bodies, and civil society. It pursues its objectives through two member-only forums held annually in spring and autumn and by conducting relevant research, with findings and recommendations shared publicly when appropriate.
