Asyad Shipping is an Oman-based transportation, logistics, supply chain and storage company that operates as part of the Asyad Group, a global integrated logistics provider. It is described as one of the world's largest diversified maritime shipping providers and a global leader in deep-sea transportation, offering liner services, ship management and chartering across five segments: Container Ships, Product Tankers, Dry Bulk Carriers, Crude Tankers and Gas Carriers. The company maintains a fleet of 89 vessels, with 47 owned or co-owned, 36 chartered-in and six on order, delivering more than 9.5 million DWT and serving over 60 countries as of 30 September 2024. It is headquartered in Masqat, Oman (po Box 104 Masqaț, Masqaț 118 Oman) and is backed by the Oman Investment Authority, aligning with Oman’s vision to develop a national shipping fleet. Since its inception in 2003, the company has supported Oman’s hydrocarbon, petrochemical, mining and metallurgical industries and operates within the GCC logistics sector, with a focus on sustainability and decarbonization in maritime operations. In recent years, Asyad Shipping has pursued asset investments and disposals, including acquiring VLCCs in 2025, purchasing two baby capesize vessels and two second-hand dry bulk carriers in 2026, selling a co-owned LNG carrier to Mitsui O.S.K. Lines in 2026, and pursuing procurement modernization through the AuctionConnect integration.
