◆ Actuarial Innovators For The Senior Living Industry ◆ Starting in 1979, members of our firm have been providing actuarial, financial, and planning services to managers of the continuum of care for senior populations. AVP has created numerous innovations for the financial modeling of Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs) and Continuing Care at Home programs (CCaHs) by combining actuarial mathematics with state-of-the-art computer modeling techniques. With both consulting services and software products, AVP provides clients with objective and reliable analyses for managing their long-term liabilities. By the numbers: • We have conducted over 750 comprehensive ASOP#3 actuarial studies during the past 5 years. • We have accumulated the largest database on CCRC actuarial statistics with more than 2 million life years of exposure. • We were the actuaries for 3 of the 4 pilot studies to test feasibility for the Continuing Care at Home concept. • In 2012, we introduced the AVP exemplary recognition seal as a designation for CCRCs with above average actuarial position. • We annually update and compile 2 national operational benchmarking surveys; one for CCRCs and the other for CCaH programs. • Our staff includes 3 credentialed actuaries and 2 CPAs. • We have sponsored the last 5 Continuing Care Hall of Fame induction ceremonies to recognize those who have distinguished themselves in the CCRC and CCaH industries.
