Babban Gona is a Lagos-based agricultural social enterprise operating within Nigeria's food and beverage manufacturing landscape, focused on scaling sustainable smallholder farming. It uses an agricultural franchise model that partners with farmers across Northern Nigeria to improve yields and incomes by providing access to inputs, training, and markets. The initiative is supported by a broad network of partners, including Nestlé, DFID, AGRA, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Skoll, GIZ, USAID, Mastercard Foundation, Rockefeller Foundation, IFAD, Global Partnerships, and EDFI AgriFi.

Babban Gona has built scalable infrastructure to support its work, with storage capacity over 100,000 metric tons and cultivation spanning more than 200,000 hectares. It has set an ambitious objective to reach 50 million smallholder farmers by 2043. Its programs engage both men and women farmers across Northern Nigeria to improve livelihoods through enhanced market access and more sustainable farming practices.
