OUR HISTORY
Bank of Tennessee first opened in downtown Kingsport in May 1974. Since then, we have quickly expanded to serve the Northeast Tennessee region plus new locations in the Nashville market.
 
In January 2013, as we continued to grow throughout the region, we saw an opportunity to continue providing exceptional service by merging with Carter County Bank. Carter County Bank opened its doors for business in September of 1939, and has a great reputation and market presence throughout Carter County, Tennessee.
 
The Bank of Tennessee / Carter County Bank family is now comprised of 21 branches in Northeast Tennessee, Knoxville, TN, Avery County, NC, Knoxville, TN and the Nashville metropolitan area.
