Basemap is a UK-based IT services and consulting firm focused on transport solutions. Founded in 2000 as a transport consultancy, it now offers a product suite that supports more than 2,000 customers, including EVR, TRACC, DataCutter, and Highways Analyst. EVR provides AI-powered route optimization for computing efficient journeys from addresses, incorporating multiple variables, and the company is based in Guildford, South East England, with access via a web app and API. The firm also supplies transportation datasets and data services for public transport data under central government contracts, such as the UK's speed limit database and average speed data. Its client base spans public sector and transport stakeholders seeking support for funding bids, NHS site decisions, bus-network analysis, parking-permit assessments, and congestion pinpointing; in 2026 Basemap formed a partnership with INRIX to expand on-demand access to high-precision transportation data through DataCutter.
