Established by Joe Browder in 1967, Browder General Insurance Agency, Inc. is a third-generation family owned and operated independent insurance agency located in Waco, Texas. Our office is located in the Merit Building East on 4800 Lakewood Drive. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional service to our clientele. Our staff of highly trained and experienced service representatives is ready to take care of your insurance needs. Our founder, Joe Browder, was born in Groesbeck, Texas in 1925. He attended the University of Texas in the early 1940’s before enlisting in the armed forces. Joe was an insurance specialist for the Cravens-Dargan Company for many years. In 1956, Joe and his family moved to Waco, Texas. In 1967, he established the General Insurance Agency that later became Browder General Insurance Agency, Inc. Browder General Insurance Agency has been serving the Central Texas area for over 48 years. After Joe’s passing in 1988, his son Blake took over the agency. Blake, a graduate of the University of Texas, has now managed the agency for the past 27 years. Over the years, Blake has taken many great steps to grow the business. His son, Blake, Jr., joined the agency after completing his degree from the University of Texas in 2011. We feel honored to have been given the opportunity to serve Waco, its surrounding communities, and the great State of Texas. We are excited to announce that we are now licensed to write insurance in Louisiana and New Mexico. We are currently taking steps to expand our territory into other states as well.
