Effective as of 10/31/2012 Capitol Underwriters has merged with and is now operating as a division of Kerxton Insurance Agency Inc., located in Gainesville, VA.  Kerxton is one of the largest independently owned property and casualty insurance agencies in Virginia and offers a full range of commercial and personal insurance as well as life insurance and employee benefits.  Kerxton also operates a national insurance program tailored specifically for fitness facilities and we are licensed in all 50 states.

Property and casualty independent insurance agencies serve commercial and personal lines clients as agents and as  brokers for numerous insurance companies. Our service area is primarily Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia but we have programs that serve clients throughout the United States as well.
