Caravan To Class is a US-registered nonprofit organization that works to expand access to education for youth in Timbuktu, Mali, and beyond. Based in Sausalito, California, the group has built and supported 18 French-language schools and provided basic literacy instruction to more than 300 mothers since its founding in 2010. Its current programs center on the Bourse Jackie University Scholarship Program, which selects five female high school graduates from Mali each year to attend university in Accra, Ghana with full tuition, books, a laptop, English courses, and a cohort experience. It also runs the Bourse Jackie English Language Program, started in 2023, offering five women annually six months of intensive English study at the BT Institute along with a female leadership program and transportation.
