The Charleston Friends of the Library is a nonprofit organization that supports the Charleston County Public Library system. It raises funds to sustain more than 7,000 library programs each year, including Summer Reading, and invites community involvement through donations of time, money, and books. For more than 30 years, the majority of its program funding has come from regional book sales and the That BIG Book Sale held in the fall and mid-winter in Charleston.
