The Cherokee Youth Football Association (CYFA) is a youth sports organization based in Woodstock, Georgia, focused on football and cheer programs that feed into Cherokee County high schools. The organization structures competition by age groups (6/7, 8/9, 10/11, 12/13) and enforces weight-based eligibility to balance competition, with a mid-season adjustment allowing players to move out of weight restrictions if they meet the threshold. CYFA operates a season schedule that includes a late-July start with practices, eight regular-season games, a mid-September break, a jamboree in August, and a three-week playoff period, issuing equipment in July with a required deposit. The organization serves families seeking organized youth sports with school-aligned color and team branding, and it conducts additional football camps and a cheer program, with related information for Etowah Cheer available via a separate site. The association is part of the broader spectator sports landscape, providing structured youth athletics within the regional community.
