Clipper Petroleum began in 1933 as the W.F. Homeyer Oil Company. After an around-the-world flight on the iconic Pan-Am Clipper in 1957, the company adopted the name we know today—an homage to the spirit of adventure, innovation, and possibility.

In 1974, Clipper entered a new chapter of family ownership that continues more than 50 years later. Guided by a long-standing commitment to excellence, integrity, and community impact, Clipper has grown from a single operation into a multi-state enterprise.

Today, Clipper operates 23 convenience stores, 4 Subways, and 2 Bojangles restaurants, and distributes fuel to more than 300 partner locations across the Southeast.
