Collectibles Insurance Services is a niche insurer focused on protecting collectible items and the people who curate them. The firm traces its roots to 1966, when Horace Harrison, a noted stamp collector, founded Harrison & Associates to address gaps left by traditional insurers. In 1983 Harrison sold the agency to Dan Walker, who broadened the focus from stamps to a wider range of collections, and the operation, based in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania, later adopted the name Collectibles Insurance Services.
