The Colorado State Government is a research services organization based in Montrose, Colorado, operating through colorado.gov as the state's web portal. It is a small to mid-sized entity focused on conducting research relevant to government needs. The organization’s activities appear to be oriented toward public-sector research partnerships and policy-oriented analysis. In June 2026, RAND Corporation announced a collaboration with colorado.gov, with RAND researchers working with the Colorado Department of Higher Education and the Colorado Department of Human Services to build evidence on SNAP participation among undergraduate students. This places it within Colorado’s government research ecosystem, where it collaborates with external researchers and state departments on policy-relevant studies. The Montrose base and colorado.gov presence reflect its role as a state-linked research entity.
