Comet Solutions, Inc.'s mission is to deliver innovative technology that changes the landscape of how simulation can be used in the product development process. Product engineering organizations face increasing pressure to meet the dual challenges of reducing cost and improving quality in manufacturing and development. Early and frequent simulation is key to achieving these goals because it produces essential insights into which concepts best meet customer requirements in order to optimize the design PRIOR to significant time and cost investments. However, the barriers to early simulation have been formidable, including complex, independent tools, dependency on CAD geometry to get started, and expertise required to run simulation tools and processes. Other vendors have tried to provide solutions to the much desired goal of upfront simulation, but at best delivered watered down CAD-centric CAE tools which created yet another set of point tools and a further disconnected CAE environment.

Comet's SimApps are the answer. These are web-deployed simulation applications, each targeted towards answering particular performance questions regarding the design of a family of products.
