Mission Statement: The C.E.C. Mission is to promote public civil justice and improvements to the community that will lend itself to the future growth and development of the community and its people.

Founded in April 2004, Community Economic Council has grown from the realization of a need to right a wrong, to movement of financial crime fighters. Today, C.E.C. promotes the education and awareness of business, law enforcement and governmental agencies in the best methods of preventing negligent financial fraud, by supporting innovative grassroots outreach programs that serve our citizens and communities.

At present, the Community Economic Council is a coalition of credit, financial and legal professionals who are seeking to provide legal and financial redress to individuals who are victims of financial and credit related fraud, i.e., a person’s identity has been stolen, they were sold a fraudulent investment or they were targeted for a predatory mortgage financing. Further plans include providing education to attorneys whose primary practice offers assistance to financial victims, educational programs to consumers that will help them manage their personal finances more effectively (i.e., maintain a household budget, manage checking account, set aside funds to educate their children, obtain mortgage financing and plan for retirement). Our educational programs will also help consumers safeguard their personal financial data with Visa /Master Card International and keep them abreast of the schemes and scams that abound, worldwide, that seek to separate the consumer from their hard-earned money. 

Finally, the Community Economic Council will engage in activities that will help strengthen our communities.
