The Community Foundation of Greater Rochester is a Michigan nonprofit organization created by and for the people of the Greater Rochester communities. The Foundation, committed to enhancing the quality of life for all citizens, serves as a community endowment builder, community grant maker and community leader as well as a conduit between the charitable goals of donors and community needs. The Foundation currently manages 150+ funds built with gifts from more than 17,000 donors pursuing their charitable goals and the opportunity to enhance the communities in which they live, work and play now and for generations to come. To achieve its mission, the Community Foundation: * Encourages charitable giving from a wide range of donors; * Attracts charitable funds for permanent endowments; * Strengthens the financial infrastructure of the nonprofit community; and * Serves as a catalyst for change, an innovator to solve problems, a partner with other local groups and a resource for solutions to current and emerging community needs
