Concept2 is the leading manufacturer of sport-based ergometers, including the RowErg, SkiErg, BikeErg and StrengthErg. The company began in 1976 in the back of a bread truck when Dick and Pete Dreissigacker, fresh from Olympic training, started making composite racing oars. Concept2 oars and sculls have since gone on to become the equipment of choice among the world's rowers. In 1981, Dick and Pete created the Concept2Model A RowErg, which swiftly became the best-selling rowing machine in the world. They introduced a Nordic ski training machine, the SkiErg, in 2009. The Concept2 BikeErg (released 2017) is the latest addition to our family of sport-based ergometers. Since those early days we've grown to over 70 employees in Morrisville, Vermont.
