Connective Leadership Institute (CLI) is a Pasadena-based leadership development and research firm founded in 1984 by Harold J. Leavitt and Jean Lipman-Blumen. Formerly known as the Achieving Styles Institute, it designs programs and strategies intended to help leaders navigate interdependent, diverse groups to work together productively. CLI's leadership framework draws on an underlying Achieving Styles approach to guide its development work. It employs a suite of eight assessments to support educators, leadership development professionals, organizational consultants, HR specialists, and others in applying its methods. A global network of over 150 Certified Associates in 12 countries collaborates with CLI, and the organization has partnered with more than 200 clients, maintaining a database of roughly 35,000 leadership profiles.
