The Council of New Jersey Grantmakers (CNJG) is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit membership organization representing the philanthropic community in the state of New Jersey. The Council has a membership of over 130 grantmaking organizations including family, private, community, independent and corporate foundations, and corporate giving programs.

CNJG exists to strengthen and promote effective philanthropy throughout the state of New Jersey and is the recognized voice of philanthropy in our state. The Council is based on the principle that philanthropy is more effective when grantmakers have the opportunity for communication, information exchange, continuing education, as well as opportunities to collaborate and leverage their giving. We support our members by strengthening their capacity to address New Jersey and society's most difficult problems. We also access the resources of the philanthropic community - funding, expertise, leverage - to provide leadership on statewide issues.
