Cumberland Sales Company was founded by Pat and Trish Poe in 1976. As a
family-run company, Cumberland Sales made a name for itself as one of the leading suppliers of wire rope, chain, rigging, and hardware for over four decades.

Current owner Matthew Cheek is a Nashville native and worked at Cumberland while a college student at Belmont University. He fell in love with the business, and in 2016 assumed full ownership of the company. Now, with Cumberland in its 45th year of operation, he is committed to growing the company and expanding into new markets so that even more industrial clients can count on Cumberland for all their wire rope, chain, rigging, and hardware needs.
