Daly Merritt, Inc. is an independent risk management and insurance consulting firm located in downtown Wyandotte, Michigan. Founded in 1928, our firm is well known among leading business and civic leaders in the region. This special relationship allows us to negotiate preferred pricing and broader insurance coverage for our commercial insurance customers. DALY MERRITT, INC. was formed in 1971 as the result of the merger between the Daly Insurance Agency and the Harley Merritt Agency. Those entities were originally incorporated in 1956 and 1928 respectively. Wallace Merritt, son of the founder, served as the first president of Daly Merritt , Inc. until his retirement in 1986. Thomas J. Daly served as Vice President until Mr. Merritt's retirement. Mr. Daly then served as Chairman until his death in 2006. The Company is now owned by four of Thomas J. Daly's eight children.
