Damage Control Mouthguards was born on the mats of a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gym after a chipped tooth and a failed boil-and-bite mouthguard revealed a simple truth: athletes weren’t neglecting safety, the industry was failing them.

We set out to change that.

Founded by CEO Delano Romero and built with the input of dental professionals, and chemical engineers,  Damage Control began by creating custom-fit mouthguards engineered for elite comfort, breathability, and protection. Unlike competitors who started with low-quality boil-and-bites, we began with the quintessential custom guard—and every product we make is modeled after that gold standard.

Today, our mouthguards are trusted worldwide by athletes in combat sports, football, MMA, boxing, and Jiu-Jitsu. Fighters like Jon Jones have relied on Damage Control for over a decade, helping fuel what we call the Jon Jones Effect—a wave of athlete-driven support that elevated our brand into a movement.
