Deforma Studio is a Miami-based architecture and design firm with a track record across multifamily residential, mixed-use, hospitality, and private projects. Our work includes 172-unit luxury rental buildings on Miami Beach's Venetian Islands, 380-unit mixed-use developments along Biscayne Bay, high-rise multifamily in Miami's Wynwood Arts District, resort design in Grand Cayman, and residential projects across North America, South America, and the Caribbean. We are a principal-led studio. That means Javier Barrera and Jessica Barrera are directly involved in every project — from the first feasibility conversation through construction administration. Clients don't get handed off to junior staff after the pitch. They get the people they hired. Our approach is grounded in how development actually works. We understand entitlement risk, construction budgets, unit mix strategy, and the market conditions that make or break a project. Design is the tool. A building that leases up, performs for investors, and holds its value long-term is the goal. We have delivered LEED Gold-certified projects, navigated complex historic and waterfront sites, and produced architecture that has been recognized by The Real Deal, South Florida Business Journal, and Hotel Management.
