Degree Partners, a nonprofit college support partner based in Austin, Texas, provides a degree pathway for students who must balance work, life, and family. Originating in 2012 as PelotonU, it supports learners through 1:1 coaching and partnerships with nonprofit, accredited universities that deliver flexible online, project-based coursework. Most current students work full time while pursuing their degree, with an average time to complete an Associate of Arts around 21 months and BA completion just over two years after earning the AA. Since its inception, the organization has advised more than 2,400 prospective students, formally welcomed over 630 into its program, and graduated more than 250 students who earned more than 300 AA and/or BA degrees. Fewer than a quarter of graduates take out loans to cover enrollment costs, with loan eligibility varying by student. In August 2023, the organization announced the appointment of Lacey Pittman Tomanek as executive director.
