Democratic Municipal Officials (DMO) is a national association that brings together elected mayors, city council members, and other municipal leaders who identify as Democrats. Based in Washington, DC, the organization has thousands of active members and is forming state chapters in more than 30 states. It functions as a forum for local officials to connect and pursue Democratic priorities in municipal governance. 
DMO serves as the liaison between local elected Democrats and the Democratic National Committee. Its Advisory Board comprises associations, unions, corporations and individuals who support DMO with financial contributions and provide expertise and resources to help members govern more effectively. In August 2021, the organization named Joe Buscaino as a Blue Star Rising Candidate for mayor of Los Angeles.
