Diabetes Education Center of the Midlands (DECM), a non-profit organization, was established in 1984 to serve Nebraska and western Iowa by offering education and self-management programs for individuals with diabetes.  Instruction is also available for diabetes prevention and weight management.

Diabetes is a unique disease whose successful management is largely dependent on the knowledge and active involvement of the individual who has it. Successful management planning also requires creative and determined efforts of trained health care professionals.  DECM is staffed by a team of highly qualified professionals specializing in diabetes management. Referrals are encouraged and welcome from community physicians, insurance companies and businesses.
