Dixie Southern Industrial, Inc. (DSI) is a family owned business founded in January 1989 as a structural and miscellaneous steel erection company. In 1991, DSI took a more extensive role in our projects by offering steel fabrication services to our resume. This has proven to be an excellent fit. Originally being an erector, DSI is extremely schedule driven and well aware of the importance of project schedules - fabrication and erection. With the majority of work performed in-house, the General Contractor need only to coordinate deliveries, schedules and changes with one entity. Disputes between fabricator and erector are eliminated. The Project Manager assigned to the project is able to answer questions and coordinate schedules along with solving problems concerning both operations, shop and field. By performing these two services in-house, it has enabled us to provide our General Contractors/Owners a well-organized and timely turnkey steel package.
