Dover Park Hospice (DPH) is a secular, non-profit palliative and hospice care provider based in Singapore's Central Region, established in 1992 to meet end-of-life needs. It serves patients of all ages and backgrounds, focusing on relief from physical symptoms as well as emotional and spiritual support, with an inpatient facility of about 50 beds. Since its first admission in 1995, the organization has cared for more than 10,000 terminally ill patients and their families, and runs the Programme Dignity for Advanced Dementia to help home-bound patients and their primary caregivers; more than 218 patients have benefited from that programme. In 2017, DPH announced plans to double its 50-bed inpatient capacity and to broaden its Home Care and Dignity services through a new Integrated Intermediate Care Hub linked to HealthCity Novena. Also in 2017, DPH, in partnership with the National Healthcare Group and Nanyang Technological University, announced plans to establish the PalC—the Palliative Care Centre for Excellence in Research and Education—with a launch targeted for the third quarter of the following year.
