The Downtown Berkeley Association is an independent nonprofit organization based in Berkeley, California, that works to maintain and improve the City Center. It provides environment enhancement services—cleaning, hospitality, outreach, and beautification—through a team of Downtown Ambassadors, alongside economic enhancement activities such as marketing, communications, events, and business support.

As the Owner’s Association for the Downtown Berkeley Property-Based Business Improvement District, the DBA represents 187 property owners and around 680 merchant and business tenants. The organization has historical roots dating to 1989 and has evolved from a Main Street project to a BID and then a PBID to focus funding and priorities. A notable recent development is the introduction of seating in the public plaza in December 2023, reflecting ongoing efforts to make the downtown area more welcoming.
