The San Jose Downtown Association (SJDA) is a non-profit, membership-based organization founded in 1986 to represent business and property owners working to improve downtown San Jose vitality and livability. It collaborates with its Property-Based Improvement District and Groundwerx to pursue ongoing improvements in cleanliness, security, aesthetics, and service delivery. It advocates on issues that affect downtown businesses and property owners, and it supports the development of parking, housing, and retail.
