For over 15 years, Farr West Engineering (Farr West) has been building a reputation as a leader in municipal engineering and utility planning for local governments throughout Nevada and California. We especially enjoy the long-standing relationships we’ve established with many rural Nevada communities for which we perform the vast majority of our work.

In 2001, we opened the doors to Farr West Engineering (Farr West) in Reno, Nevada, dedicating ourselves to providing the highest quality civil, environmental and electrical engineering. Over 15 years later, we remain as devoted as ever, staying true to those core values and work ethic that have contributed to the success of our clients and projects.

In 2012 Farr West Engineering acquired Chilton Engineering & Surveying in Elko, Nevada.  Farr West also owns Sierra Controls, LLC, a Nevada based company with over 40 years of experience serving utility clients throughout the State.  Together, we are one of the largest and most experienced groups of professionals serving municipalities in the area.  

Today, Farr West employs 70 professionals that work together as a team to seamlessly service clients throughout Nevada and northern California in civil and environmental engineering, surveying, water rights, and construction management.
