First National Bank North Platte was organized on March 9, 1886, and opened its doors for business on May 10, 1886. Since that time, First National Bank North Platte has occupied three different locations in downtown North Platte, moving to our present site in September of 1967. Our building doubled in size in 1998, when a major remodeling and construction project was completed. Our South Bank at The Mall was opened in 1972, to serve both commercial and residential development. On October 15, 1988, First National of Nebraska, Inc., the largest bank holding company in the state, purchased First National Bank and Trust Company. From 1989 to 1994, the bank acquired additional locations in Alliance, Chadron, and Scottsbluff to allow First National Bank to provide financial services to individuals, businesses and agriculture throughout Western Nebraska. The latest acquisition took place in August of 1994, with the purchase of the Alliance National Bank, which has served that market since 1887. First National Bank North Platte has a commitment to providing quality financial products and services to the communities we serve. Investments in state of the art technology and in updated facilities have been made to better serve our customers at our five bank locations. And understanding that service and experience are what set us apart, we have comprised a quality team of 140 banking professionals who are working together for you.
