FirstPoint’s roots trace back to the Greensboro Merchants Association—a nonprofit started by Greensboro merchants in 1906 to share insights about customer creditworthiness. By 1940, with a disciplined approach, strong membership, and trusted relationships, the association evolved into the Credit Bureau of Greater Greensboro, Inc.

Throughout the 1980s, the company identified a growing need among businesses for additional human-centered, back-office services and diversified through a series of strategic acquisitions. FirstPoint Holdings was officially formed in 2001, unifying our divisions of debt collection, association management, call center, and background screening under one brand umbrella. 

Today, FirstPoint is a family of resources with over 300 employees and an outstanding reputation for professionalism and compliance, driven by our legacy and unwavering commitment to clients and the community.
