In 1948 our Founder, Floyd Gillam started a small truck and farm machinery repair shop in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. He saw the importance of establishing a reputation for timely, quality work, at a fair price. Now in the 4th generation of family leadership, that fine standard of excellence in service and equipment as a Daimler Trucks North America dealer enables company growth with training and equipment produced by the largest automotive manufacturer in the world.

In January of 2013, Floyd’s expanded operations from 3 to 5 locations with the purchase of Freightliner dealerships in Rapid City and Ft Pierre, SD.  In December of 2016 the company added more locations in Gillette, WY, Casper, WY, and Rock Springs, WY. followed by our 2018 acquisition of Rocky Mountain Truck Center and Elite Kubota in Belgrade, MT. Finally in April of 2025 Floyd's acquired Nebraska Truck Center and their 3 locations in Grand Island, Hastings, and North Platte, NE.
