Focus on Community, Inc. is Racine’s substance use prevention agency, serving Racine and Racine County for over 40 years. Our mission is to unite the community to prevent substance abuse and inspire healthy life choices. We do this through education, skill-building programs, family support, youth leadership development, and partnerships that strengthen protective factors across homes, schools, and the broader community.

Prevention isn’t only about reducing substance use—it’s about strengthening the conditions that help people thrive. Effective prevention supports mental wellness remember about healthy coping, reduces violence and risky behavior, strengthens families, improves school engagement and academic outcomes, and builds a healthier workforce and community. When we invest in prevention, we’re investing upstream—before challenges become crises—creating long-term impact that reaches far beyond any single issue.
