The Franklinton Arts District provides leadership related to expanding the acceptance, appreciation, support and impact of the arts and artists in Franklinton. We accomplish this by:

1. Increasing the visibility, understanding and credibility of FAD as an organization, as a valued community resource, as a community of artists and arts-related enterprises, and as a part of the entire Franklinton community;
2. Advocating for establishment of galleries, exhibition space, public theater and other venues for displaying and experiencing the arts in Franklinton;
3. Increasing the ongoing positive impact of the arts and artists throughout Franklinton;
4. Increasing the engagement of children, adults and families from throughout Franklinton with the arts and artists; and
5. Increasing the investment of private and public funds in FAD, the arts, artists, arts- related enterprises.

FAD produces Urban Scrawl and Art for Franklinton events, community education programs like Art Club and Art on West Park, and participates in many community events like Franklinton National Night Out. FAD also manages the George Bellows Grant Program to help support community based artists and art projects.
