Fuelmatics developed robotic Automatic Refueling System (ARS) for cars. ARS handles all of the fueling operation for the customer. Similar to ATM Drive-Through Banking, ARS offers seamless and hands free re-fueling experience for the driver. The customer drives up to the ARS and initiates refueling process by purchasing fuel with a payment card or Fuelmatics SmartPhone Payment App. ARS then looks for the refueling door and opens it using a suction arm, then inserts proprietary nozzle and fills the tank to the requested amount. Fuelmatics SmartPhone Payment App eliminates the need for opening the window as the payment is made via customer's SmartPhone and the receipt is sent by email or text. The whole operation takes 30 percent less time than conventional self-service re-fueling. Fuelmatics ARS is not only convenient but also good for the environment by eliminating vapors and any fuel spills. It is also attractive to elderly and disabled drivers as well as those who prefer to remain in the car during refueling.
