Established in 1899 by Abram Van Etten, Galloy & Van Etten is a family owned stone company proud to woven into Chicago's history for the last 123 years. Passed down from generation to generation, Galloy & Van Etten is still owned and operated by the same family that started it over a century ago. Currently, 4 Van Ettens are actively involved in every aspect of the business, keeping alive the tradition of excellent craftsmanship and remarkable service that Abram created. Throughout the years we have added new technology to the artistry of traditional stone cutting techniques, bringing amazing attention to detail and passion to every stone we cut and every job we tackle. Plain old hard work and dedication are the foundation of our success. In 1900 there were over 100 stone companies in Chicago. Today, of those 100+ companies, only one remains...Galloy & Van Etten. We are not the best stone company in Chicago because we are the oldest.
