The Gauteng Office of the Premier is a mid-sized provincial government administration based in Johannesburg, Gauteng. It functions as the executive arm of the Gauteng Provincial Government, with the Premier empowered to appoint members of the executive council and assign their functions, and to exercise executive power alongside the council.
