Genesee County Economic Development Center, based in Batavia, New York, serves as the region's primary economic development agency. It connects Genesee County to the Buffalo and Rochester markets by offering shovel-ready sites and programs aimed at workforce development. Its work is centered on fostering local economic growth to attract investment and create jobs for residents, using a combination of financial assistance, real estate solutions, workforce programming, and placemaking to strengthen manufacturing in the county and surrounding areas.

Since its founding in 2002, GCEDC has supported more than $2 billion in capital investment across over 500 projects and facilitated more than 5,000 pledged jobs. The organization highlights the STAMP Mega-Site, which comprises over 540 buildable acres with infrastructure connections, including a 600-megawatt substation delivering renewable hydropower. In March 2026, GCEDC partnered with Cooley Comics LLC to combine student creativity with AI tools to explore new concepts and opportunities for students.
