The GCEDC is the primary economic development agency in Genesee County, a community connecting the Buffalo, NY and Rochester, NY markets with shovel-ready sites and career-focused workforce development. The GCEDC’s mission is to facilitate local economic growth and development which fosters investment and job creation for the benefit of our residents and children. We do this by offering financial assistance, real estate solutions, workforce development programming and placemaking options in order to build back local and regional manufacturing and by supporting the continued growth and success of our local businesses all across Genesee County. Since 2002, this mission has led to over $2 billion of capital investment, over 500 projects, and over 5,000 pledged jobs. These milestones are growing, with our STAMP Mega-Site attracting over $1 billion of announced investment and 700 announced jobs by Plug Power and Edwards Vacuum. Over 540 buildable acres, are available at STAMP with direct connections to infrastructure including a 600-megawatt substation delivering 100% renewable hydropower to our users.
