Golden Music Strings finds its roots in 1996 when the founders opened a music shop in Golden in its present location. They opened with the purpose to serve the Jefferson County and nearby communities’ music needs. As a few years passed, it became apparent that there was a need for a quality student instrument provider in the schools. Building a large following there, they branched into better violins in the late 1990s. Several years of study and buildout in the shop led to the 2,000 square foot show room and 2000 square foot luthier shop and five teaching rooms.  In the summer of 2013, Golden Music opened a satellite location at 7115 E Hampden (4 blocks East of I25).  It is stocked with musical instruments and accessories like the Golden store.

Golden Music Center is currently the largest dealer of fine string instruments in the state of Colorado.  We also offer an extremely affordable and easy rent-to -own program for all of our band and orchestra instruments (that's right, we rent BAND instruments too!).
