Golden State Fitness & Performance is a privately owned personal training facility in the Montclair district of Oakland, CA. With over 30+ years of combined experience, we specialize in resistance training and movement screening for the purpose of increasing the physical performance, fat loss, and general health of our clients. Whether you are an athlete, power-lifter, new mom, weekend warrior, or specialized population we all have a reason and need to stay strong and to “Train for Life”. We like to think of Golden State Fitness & Performance, the gym, as a product of “old school” meets “new science” We don’t have a million machines, we don’t offer the latest “miracle” juices, we don’t offer ineffective “aerobics” classes, and we don’t believe there is only one way to workout! We keep it simple…not easy, but simple. Quality, long lasting results are next to impossible if you don’t have a solid foundation. Quality movement, quality nutrition, quality programs, all done with consistency is how it’s done. The information we provide is a result of our combined 30+ years of experience while working with hundreds of clients. We have learned a great deal from other experts in the field, our clients, and from experimenting with our own training and nutrition. We are dedicated to constantly continuing our education through hands-on seminars, courses, books, online info, and any other way we can. We are always absorbing new information.
