The work was conducted in close collaboration with partners including the Department for Transport, Network Rail, and the Rail Delivery Group. Although GBRTT ceased to exist as an Arm's Length Body on 1 April 2025, several core activities continue through three teams - Customer & Revenue Growth, Industry Finance, and Fares Ticketing & Retail - alongside partnerships and projects teams that operate across the industry. These groups continue to advance rail reform and industry integration in coordination with the wider sector. In May 2026, GBRTT assets were sold to Cornwall Council, with land ultimately secured by the North Cornwall District Council (now part of Cornwall Council).
