Greater Victoria Public Library is a public library system serving Victoria and surrounding regions in British Columbia. It runs 12 library locations and offers online access to resources, serving more than 380,000 residents across 10 municipalities. The library provides free access to information, space, tools, and expertise to support literacy and lifelong learning, making it a community hub for connection, exploration and imagination. The organization is positioned within the library sector as a central community resource, with a staff whose work underpins its service delivery. In August 2022, GVPL introduced interim Indigenous subject headings to reflect more current terminology. It also engages as a community partner through local collaborations and HR career postings.
