GreenTrees is deploying nature's own technology, trees, on scale in order to bend the climate curve below the two-degree celsius cap.  By planting 1 million acres of trees in the US we will do our part to contribute to the global call to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.  Trees take out of the atmosphere what society puts up.  These natural scrubbers are the most deployable, scalable technology currently available to change the climate outlook.  

Our program, however, goes beyond tree planting and climate change.  We are creating forests that support biodiversity, clean the water, trap nutrient and sediment runoff, and create jobs. GreenTrees takes a river system approach to deploying our forest building project, starting in the Mississippi Alluvial Valley.  To date, we have engaged nearly 500 landowners in planting 100,000 acres of trees.  That scale has made us the country's leading supplier of forestry carbon offsets within the voluntary market.
