Greenville Utilities (GUC) is a municipal utility in Greenville, North Carolina, providing electric, water, sewer, and natural gas services. It serves the City of Greenville and roughly three-quarters of Pitt County, with more than 135,800 customer connections. Founded in 1905, it is owned by the city's residents and operates under a charter issued by the North Carolina General Assembly. The organization is governed by an eight-member Board of Commissioners that approves rates, budgets, and policies; the City Manager serves as a voting member, while the remaining directors are nominated by the City Council and County Commissioners and approved by the City Council. In December 2025, GUC received the Excellence in Public Power Communications Award of Excellence from the American Public Power Association.
